Last updated: 7 August 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using inroad. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

inroad is operated by Inroad Careers Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17298134), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. In these terms, "inroad", "we", "us" and "our" mean Inroad Careers Ltd. These terms form the agreement between you and Inroad Careers Ltd.

1. The service

inroad is a career platform that helps students discover internship and graduate opportunities, find relevant professionals at target companies, and draft personalised outreach emails. inroad is free for students and will always remain free for students. We may introduce paid features for non-student users or enterprise customers in the future, but the core student experience will never sit behind a paywall.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use inroad. By signing up you confirm you are using the service for personal career development purposes and not on behalf of a company, recruitment agency, or any other commercial entity.

3. Your account

4. Email sending and your responsibility

inroad provides tools to help you draft and send outreach emails. You are solely responsible for every email sent from your account, whether sent manually or via the one-click send feature using your connected Microsoft account.

Email drafts generated by inroad are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing and editing any draft before sending it. inroad does not take responsibility for any contact made on behalf of the student, including the content, tone, accuracy, or consequences of any email sent. By using the send feature you confirm that you have reviewed the email and are satisfied that it is accurate and appropriate.

You agree not to:

5. Microsoft account connection

If you choose to connect your Microsoft account, you authorise inroad to send emails on your behalf using the Microsoft Graph API. You may disconnect your Microsoft account at any time from the dashboard. inroad is not responsible for any emails sent before disconnection or for any issues arising from your email provider's policies.

Some university or employer Microsoft accounts may be restricted by IT policy and may not be compatible with the one-click send feature. inroad is not responsible for any such restrictions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Third-party data

Professional profile information shown on inroad (names, job titles, companies) is identified through publicly available web sources. Work email addresses displayed on the platform are constructed from the standard email format used by the person's employer rather than taken from any personal data record. Some are additionally checked against a third-party deliverability service, and where an address carries a verified indicator this means only that the mailbox appeared to exist when we checked it. A verified indicator is not a guarantee that the address is current, correct for that individual, or monitored. inroad does not obtain or store personal (non-work) email addresses.

You agree to use this information responsibly and in accordance with applicable privacy laws, and to use it only for individual person-to-person career outreach. You may not use contact information obtained from inroad for bulk messaging, marketing campaigns, or onward sale or disclosure to any third party. You are responsible for satisfying yourself that any email address is accurate and appropriate before sending.

8. Intellectual property

All content, design, and technology on inroad is owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our prior written consent. You retain ownership of any content you provide to us (bio, preferences).

9. Disclaimers

inroad is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that you will receive any particular outcome (such as securing an interview or job offer) as a result of using the platform. inroad makes no representation that any email address shown on the platform is accurate, active, or will reach the intended recipient, whether or not it carries a verified indicator. Deliverability checks reflect only what a third-party service reported at the time of checking.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, inroad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, lost profits, or reputational harm. inroad accepts no liability for any consequences arising from emails sent by users through the platform, including responses or non-responses from recipients. inroad accepts no liability for emails delivered to incorrect, unintended, or outdated addresses as a result of using contact information displayed on the platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes. Continued use of inroad after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
